FELLOW Carter Move Mug (355ml/12oz)

I haven't received it yet...looks great in the picture. Happy to review again once received and tried.

This is by far the best coffee mug I’ve owned. I’ve used it consistently for two years and it’s still in fantastic condition. Keeps hot drinks hot for longer than any other I’ve used and keeps ice for much longer too. I constantly recommend this to everyone who compliments it.

This is the best mug I own!

It really delivers on the non-spill aspect. I can confidently throw the mug in a bag knowing it won't spill even a single drop. The ceramic lining is great, it doesn't affect the taste of the coffee at all. The ring does get stained from the coffee over time, and gets really squeaky when I close the lid. Unless you have the drink open lid in a moving vehicle, the splash guard isn't really that helpful.

Own many Fellow mugs, but none that actually fit in my cup holder. Same quality, no leaking, better for car trips!

I have 4 of these at home for the past 4 years I have been loving them to death!! It keeps the odor out, easy to clean and really nice to hold!

I love the Fellow Carter Move mugs - I now own multiple because this is the most reliable travel mug I’ve come across. Safe to throw in a bag or travel with, the splash guard is also a great feature.

I’ve had this for three years and the colors are starting to peel off now, so a good durability I’d say. It is leak proof. I can even drip it inside my backpack and don’t worry about it!

At first I was wondering why a coffee travel mug was quite pricey, but it’s great. Solid and I can bringit to work on the bus and in the car with no leaks. Keeps the coffee hot and great to drink from. Highly recommend.

Lovely to drink tea from. Can’t speak to coffee yet as I don’t mix tea and coffee thermos’s for flavour reasons. However I have loved it so much this past year that I just ordered one size larger for coffee.

This is my second Fellow Move mug and its excellent. I enjoy the design for many reasons but primarily for the neutral taste of the ceramic liner. I keep this one at work because I was tired of my coffee getting cold. Now I'm not refilling as often and actually drinking less coffee.

When you walk into any thrift store, the largest number of items that are looking for a new love are the mugs/thermoses. Their abundance quickly reminds us how often their owners have replaced them! That is because they never last long; when they do, they don't become the 'loved ones'!
All thermos/coffee mugs have problems/inconveniences: they stink, they don't keep warm/cool long enough, they stain, they become boring, they crack, dent, and the list goes on.
Well, I have had my Fellow Carter for over six years now. Mine is an eight-ounce size, which I could not find on this website anymore. Guess that makes me an aristocrat?! Jokes aside, I already wrote a review back then, but I believe that would not do justice to this engineering wonder! Now, after six years, this renewed effort would do some good to the brand and those who are shopping.
The most annoying problems with any thermos/mug are;
They stink after not being washed for some time. I don't know about you, but I don't prefer to wash my coffee mug frequently. I love the build-up of the aroma, stain and texture inside the mug, which provides me with some added taste (both physically and mentally) that goes away with every wash. No coffee lover likes the hint of detergent in the backdrop of their caffeine trip.
The thermos doesn't keep the coffee warm after some time. Even if it does, the coffee gets denatured and gives away a metallic and/or penny-like taste after a lengthy storage.
It is tough to keep clean; there are intricate parts that don't clean easily. And why clean? Because they stink if you do not.
Not easy to sip from, especially in a moving car and/or while driving.
Then there are other problems - size, weight, aesthetics, pride of ownership, etc.
How does FC help here?
None of the mentioned problems is a 'thing' with the FC thermos. I barely wash my mug, and it does not matter! It never stinks; the coffee always tastes better than yesterday (imagine how the coffee tastes today! I have not washed it once in the last two months!).
The longest time I need my coffee to stay warm is about two hours; FC was built for a much longer wait time. So, there is no issue here. The best part is that the coffee taste does not change even if you open the coffee for the first time in two hours. The ceramic coating does the trick; why don't the other companies do the same when they cost twice as much? Are there no coffee drinkers on their teams?!
Cleaning the FC is a breeze; use any dishwashing detergent and warm water. I use a bottle brush to rub the inside gently. After six years of usage, I must tell you that the silicone gaskets are of top quality, and the design of the gasket is a well-orchestrated engineering that not only seals great but also cleans quickly and doesn't even stink even without frequent washing. I have not seen any fungal build-up once in these six years.
I have had episodes of spilling coffee while driving in the past. But that was pre-'Fellow Carter'. Coffee can be hard to drink in a moving car while hot. The detailed engineering that went into the sipping curve of the mug is practical and takes little to no learning at all. I discovered that the spill-guard not only prevents accidental splashes but also helps keep the coffee warm when drinking slowly on a long trip.
I was shocked when the mug did not fit in the Model 3 cup holder! So, I purchased an adapter for the FC in the M3. Now everything is the way I like it. I recommend this thermos/mug to anyone who wants to make a bonding with their mugs. It has become my pet.

I've used this for a month and noticed that after a few uses an unpleasant smell appeared (like super burnt/stale coffee??). With thorough washing was able to remove most, but not all, of the smell. However, it is a pain to have to clean it (ex. let is soak in soapy water overnight) and still have it impact the taste of the coffee. NOT COOOOOL. It looks so good, but I won't use it anymore because I am not willing to let it alter the flavour of my coffee, or drain the enjoyment out of my coffee ritual (and by extension ruin my life!!! a bit dramatic but that's what I'm feeling sometimes because of this stinky product that I was so excited for).

I am pleased that, the hot beverage stays what is advertised (12hrs).

I like this mug, but I must have got a faulty one. I see everyone saying this is leak-proof, but mine is not. It leaks. If it’s laying on its side with coffee in it it will eventually start leaking out. I was backpacking and this happened in my tent one day.

The sand dune colour looks really nice, decent quality. Also the perfect size for a regular latte from any coffee shop. 100% leak proof too!

As someone who enjoys quality coffee once or twice a week, this is a perfect fit for the monthly excursions I take. I hate plastic and disposable things on principal, and this is genuinely my mug for the next decade... Now, let's see if it lasts.

I purchased my first fellow carter mug over a year ago, and have slowly been building my collection. I have now got rid of all the other travel mugs. It keeps things hot, without the hassle of a lid. I love all the color options as well.
