Several smallholders grew this traditional lot for the Gachatha wet mill in Nyeri. A crisp washed process showcases classic SL-driven sugars, resulting in an intensely fruity, clean cup loaded with notes of blackcurrants and blackberries.

Textbook Kenya with added freshness

Title says it all; it’s exactly right for that crunchy red fruit plus earthy/savoury thing Kenya does so singularly. The lighter roast does seen to do best with good hot water and a smaller grind, balanced with fast paper to avoid over extraction, but it’s not as picky as that sounds.
