Onyx - Bochesa
COF-OX-0100Set high in the misty Arbegona highlands of Sidama, Bochesa is one of Ethiopia's most remote and elevated coffee-producing communities. At a staggering 2,248 meters above sea level, the Bochesa station sits amidst cool, forested slopes where slow cherry maturation and rich volcanic soil combine to create coffees of remarkable clarity. Established in 2014, the station serves approximately 600 smallholder farmers, many of whom cultivate indigenous landrace varieties on tiny plots in their backyards. This lot was produced using the traditional natural process, with cherries sun-dried on raised African beds for up to 18 days. The result is a sweet and layered cup, offering a bright tangerine-like acidity followed by the comforting warmth of honey-drizzled pastry and deep plum, with a silky vanilla finish
