This is great for drinking coffee on the go. Looks really nice and feels good to drink out of.

Perfect cups for around the house or taking for the road. Slide lids are sometimes hard to wash but overall great

Ceramic lined mugs are the way to go. No more metal taste. The mugs lids is very easy to use however it's a bit difficult to clean compared to other mugs.

As with all the fellow carter mugs, the insulation is fantastic and the ceramic inside is easy to clean and doesn’t retain flavour from previous beverages. Not sure if the slide outcompetes the original Carter mug for me, the lid rattles ever so slightly when the slide lid is closed, it doesn’t leak but could be potentially bothersome. The mechanism overall works great and is comfortable to drink from, though it does limit the flow slightly if you prefer to drink fast. Definitely keeping in my arsenal of top tier travel mugs.

I originally got the Carter Move mug, and as my needs have changed (and itsbstarted showing it's age) I was looking for a new travel mug. Especially one that would be easier to use in the car. This has answered all the downfalls of the original carter move mug I had. I really enjoy the lid, its ease of use, and additionally, since the original, the quality seems to have gone up as well. I'm extremely happy with the cup. I wish the lid would not have been made out of so much plastic though. I suppose that's my only gripe

After a few months of using this, I can safely write an honest review. It works well, keeps my coffee warm, and doesn’t leak. I also love the sleek and minimal design. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I dropped it once and it dented.

Haven’t experienced the smell issue, so far, that I’ve read about. Washing the slide lid is not the easiest but not that bad.

I’m usually not one for travel mugs, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The inside material doesn’t change the flavour of the coffee like other travel mugs do. I still get the fruitiness that I would in a normal mug out of this one. The sliding lid is a nice touch! The size is great, and it keeps my coffee warm for a long time! The only thing I wish was that I could get more of the aroma of the coffee, but still a great product.

Have received compliments on it from friends. Helps prevent spills, and also manages the flow rate (to avoid burns).

Given how tough it is to clean the the slide lid, I give it a 3/5 stars. There are too many parts to re-assemble whenever you want to clean the mug. The heat retention is also mediocre with this one. I would suggest you purchase the Move mug.

I bought this for a friend and he told me it’s great to use. He’s using it daily. Not only is the design nice but it’s extremely functional too. I have the original Carter and I imagine it’s an updated version of that.

Easy to hold, easy to sip from, and easy to use everyday with that tasteless ceramic lining not interfering with my local roasts.

I already have a 16oz with all the other lids. Had to get another size and try out this slide lock lid. Best looking and performing coffee travel mug.

Perfect size for a 300g -ish coffee. Lid can easily be used one handed(while driving) and doesn't leak while closed.

Perfect sized mug for on the go. Took a little getting used to opening the top (had to learn to slide the top more horizontally with less downward pressure on the “button”). Drinking from the lid feels a bit more like pouring liquid into your mouth, there’s a bit of a delay/disconnect from drinking from a glass or a simpler lid with just a hole. Biggest downside is that the mug itself is too small a diameter to brew directly into with a V60 switch or an AeroPress, but I’m happy to use a carafe in between because the mug is wonderful otherwise.

It's branded as a Carter Move Mug, which suggests it comes with the Move lid, the splash guard, and the slide lock lid. You will not get the splash guard or Move lid.

Sleek, good-looking and isothermic, you can drink your coffee hot or cold and it feels great!

I've gone through maybe a dozen different kinds of travel mugs over the years. The Carter lineup intrigued me because of its ceramic inner coating. I wanted something that was reasonably spill-resistant and could be operated one handed. You needed two hands to use the original Move, which meant it wasn't practical for driving, so I was elated when the Slide-Lock lid came out. The lid design is great; the mechanism feels solid and I find the flow rate pretty good (I tend to take small sips, anyway). I recognize the mug isn't so leakproof that it can be thrown upside-down in a bag, but it stays closed when kept upright in my bag's mug pocket, which is good enough for me. Thermal insulation isn't as good as, say, a Zojirushi, but still keeps my drinks hot for a couple hours (and warm for about 4).

The thin lip of the body makes drinking with the lid off a pleasant experience, and I do find the ceramic coating works in not imparting any taste.

While the mug fits my cup holders, it's on the slightly wider side (compared to my old Klean Kanteen), so worth keeping in mind if you have small hands.

Lid disassembly for deep cleaning isn't too bad; yes, there are some small parts to keep track of, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Have had the mug for half a year now and it still looks in perfect condition (I have the black colour) with no sign of coating prematurely flaking or scratching.

I bought this as a gift, and my GF said it's convenient and an ideal size for a latte.

I bought this for my husband who prefers ceramic but is pretty rough on his things and smashed his last to-go mug. He loves it and I love that I won’t have to buy him another for a long time! The lid works great one-handed but is still spill-proof and well insulated. Fits on our car cup holder. This is a thoughtfully designed, aesthetically pleasing product. No notes!

I am satisfied with my standard carter move lids, but wanted to try this to see if I could open it with one hand. The good news: you can! Waterproofing is very important to me, and this one stays closed in my bag. Sometimes there is a small amount of water retained in the lid after closing, which is a negative, so I will still sometimes use my standard carter move lids which are very safe for bags with stuff that can be damaged by water.
