Not sure that its doing much with our full 6-cup brewing. Could be designed a bit better to prevent sealing, but for 3 bucks i can probably modify it to keep an open channnel.

Solves the Chemex Problem

If you like your coffee in a "particular" way and want to use a Chemex, get this—it solves the Chemex's main flaw. This stops the filter from sagging into the pour spout and slowing your brew time. I should have gotten this sooner.

Inexpensive Fix to the Chemex Flaw

I've been using my Chemex for a few years, and it has one flaw: the filters sages into the pour spout, the blocked pour spout blocks the airflow, and suddenly, your draw-down time goes way up. This solves that problem, and I'm impressed that Chemex made such an inexpensive solution.

A Must Have For Chemex!

Works great for both the 10 cup model and the pint size. No longer need to worry about paper filter sagging into the pouring spout now!

As other said, effective

Simple, cheap and very useful, fits every chemex size and no more vacuum to deal with. You could use a straw, but for 3$, save yourself the trouble and use this

Simple but effective

It's just a plastic clip, but it's a cheap way to improve your Chemex experience. It also keeps the filter in place when rinsing.
I've been using the Chemex for years and never knew this existed.

Sounds silly but works well

Not much to it, it's a plastic clip; fairly robust, fits flush onto the chemex, and does what it says. I have the 8-cup with the handle and the clip sits nicely over the handle without getting in the way.
